Summary
We are seeking a skilled Claims Adjuster to join our client’s team on-site in Birmingham, Alabama. As a Claims Adjuster, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and settling insurance claims. Your responsibilities will include reviewing claim forms, investigating the cause of loss, assessing coverage, and negotiating settlements on behalf of a Logistics company.
Responsibilities
- Review Claims: Thoroughly examine claim forms, supporting documents, and evidence to determine coverage and liability.
- Investigate Loss: Investigate the cause of loss, ensuring accuracy and fairness in claims assessment.
- Evaluate Coverage: Assess coverage based on policy terms and conditions.
- Negotiate Settlements: Engage in negotiations with claimants to reach fair and timely settlements.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in claims management.
- Collaborate: Work closely with internal teams, including risk management professionals, to ensure efficient claims processing.
- Maintain Records: Document all claim-related activities accurately.
- Compliance: Adhere to legal and regulatory guidelines.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Prior experience as a Claims Adjuster within Logistics or in a related role outside Logistics.
- Meticulous in reviewing claim documents and records.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, logistics environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, or Insurance) is ideal.
- Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC, or similar) is advantageous.
